The Dusky Starfrontlet (Coeligena orina) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found only in Colombia. Its status was mysterious for a long time as it was only known from a few museum specimens, but it was recently rediscovered.
This bird was erroneously listed as a species of Least Concern in the IUCN Red List. Actually, it seems close to extinction, and its status was thus corrected to Critically Endangered 2007 Red List issue.[1]
