The Dusky Indigobird or Purple Indigobird (Vidua purpurascens) is a species of bird in the Viduidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitat is dry savanna.
