DUES, Durham University Engineering Society, is the student-run society which aims to promote and encourage interest in science and engineering at Durham University.

It is affiliated to Durham Students' Union.

[edit] Projects

DUES aims to provide a way for its members to develop practical and team-working skills during their time at university. It does this by supporting a number of practical projects[1], with the Durham University Solar Car being the flagship project.

The Society is also encouraging its members to become involved in the Micromouse project.

[edit] Sponsors

In order to fund the many activities it organises, to keep membership fees at an acceptable level and to maintain links with industry, DUES is sponsored by a number of companies[2].

Current sponsors are Accenture, Centrica, DML Group and PX Limited.
