The Durango Herald is a daily newspaper in Durango, Colorado.[1] The paper combined in 1952 after Arthur and Morley Cowles Ballantine purchased the Herald-Democrat and the News.[2]
The Herald has won numerous awards in contests such as the Society of Professional Journalists,[3] the Colorado Associated Press Reporters and Editers, and the Colorado Press Association.[4]
Richard Ballantine, son of Morley Ballantine, is currently the publisher of the Herald.
