Dupee Shaw

Frederick Lander "Dupee" Shaw (May 31, 1859 in Charlestown, Massachusetts - January 12, 1938 in Wakefield, Massachusetts), was a professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1883-1888. He would play for the Detroit Wolverines, Boston Reds, Providence Grays, and Washington Nationals. In 1884, Shaw struck out 451 batters (the fourth highest total in major league history) while playing with the Detroit Wolverines and Boston Reds. Shaw had a 30-33 record and 60 complete games in 1884.
