[edit] Number of platforms

I am sure that I have seen somewhere a website which states that this station used to have significantly more platforms in use and that the current platform is on a loop off the main lines. As soon as I can work out where I saw it (probably on the history of my home laptop - at work at the moment!) I will try to add it to this article.ColourSarge 15:22, 13 July 2007 (UTC) The Old Northbound platform, with its shelter and connecting bridge, was removed prior to electrification when the mainline tracks were then realigned - that's the timescale, but I don't recall the exact dates.86.159.129.62 (talk) 13:34, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
