Dungel Cooper (also called Dunkel Cooper) is a fictional character from the anime series, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. He was a member of the Titans, an elite force within the Earth Federation.

Dungel was one of the most skilled pilots of the Titans. After being stationed at Gryps for a long period of time, he was sent with Ramsus Hasa to form a team of 3 RX-139 Hambrabis with Yazan Gable. The team is similar to the Black Tri-Stars from the original Gundam series. Dungel first appears in episode 33.

[edit] Fighting with Yazan

The first operation that he undertakes with Yazan's unit is to use the Hambrabi's Sea Serpents to trap the Zeta Gundam in an electrical spiderweb. However, the Zeta is able to break out, and attacks by other AEUG mobile suits force Yazan, Dungel, and Ramsus to withdraw.

Dungel fights with Yazan again, this time to attack the Argama. Dungel is to remain behind and to deploy 12 decoy Marasais. The plan was to trick the Argama and the Radish into sending mobile suits to engage the decoys, leaving their defenses open for Yazan and Ramsus to attack the two ships. The operation is unsuccessful, as the AEUG is able to figure out the Marasais are decoys before Yazan and Ramsus can destroy the Argama and Radish.

The team launches another attempt to destroy the Argama, but like the others, it is pushed back.

[edit] Fall of the Titans

The last battle that the Hambrabi team fights in is during the final battle of the Gryps conflict. During this battle, the team engages a RX-178 Gundam Mk-II piloted by Emma Sheen. During this battle, Dungel's mobile suit is severely damaged. His overall fate is unknown, as he is never seen being directly killed, unlike Ramsus.
