Dunbar High School is part of Dayton City Schools. The school is located in Dayton, Ohio, and serves approximately 700 students. The school mascot is the wolverine. Dunbar's mission is to unite and promote student achievement in preparation for a successful future.
Dunbar has been rated as "Academic Emergency" since 2002. The school did not meet any of the 12 state indicators for the 2005-2006 school year. Although ratings improved slightly for the 2005-2006 school year, the 2006-2007 ratings dropped again and Dunbar remains in "Academic Emergency" status[1].
