Talk:Dumfries and Galloway

[edit] Split Page?
Should this page be split in two, one on the Dumfries and Galloway area, and one on Dumfries and Galloway Council? In a similar style to Glasgow and Glasgow City Council. (Jacqueline2008 (talk) 11:33, 20 May 2008 (UTC))
- No. Glasgow exists independently of Glasgow Council. Dumfries and Galloway only exists as the area administered by Dumfries and Galloway Council. - Crosbiesmith (talk) 18:11, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. It just seems as if greater clarity could be manifested between the politics and the actual area info for the Scottish Unitary Council areas, as exists for the cities. And the area Dumfries and Galloway existed, and was acknowledged as a distinct area before Dumfries and Galloway Council or it's 1996 predecessor existed.
