[edit] Personality and Traits

Duminuss is an enigmatic being; at times, this creature is condescending and menacing, but in front of its creations, it shows great compassion and unconditional love for them(Note: in the Original Generations universe Duminuss lacks these traits toward its creations). Duminuss' gender has been debated, but as of Original Generation Gaiden, it is voiced by a female seiyuu (although it's rather common in Japan for females to voice male characters).

[edit] History

[edit] Reversal Timeline

Duminuss was the creation of an unknown being. However, its creator deemed Duminuss to be a failure and whenever it questioned its purpose, no answer could be provided. The creator was also cruel to Duminuss, and the creature had no choice but to kill its master, while wandering endlessly through time, searching for the answer it needed. Over the course of its history, it aligned itself with various factions, assimilating their technologies and gaining power, but even then, no one could conjure an answer for Duminuss' question. Duminuss' power was enough for it to make three creations of its own -- its children: Despoiniz (デスピニス Desupinisu?), Lalia (ラリアー Rariā?) and Tiz (ティス Tizu?), all gifted with extreme piloting skills (the spelling of their names are written in Greek, as δεσποινιζ, λαλια and τιζ, respectively).

When hearing about the Time Flow Engine, Duminuss attempted to use it to travel back in time and ask its creator once more about its purpose. It attacked Raul Gureden/Fiona Gureden and the Excellence Team, but failed to utilize the device. It encountered the team again in a short time and defeated them, causing the Time Flow Engine to malfunction, throwing the Excellence Team 5 years into the past. Unknowingly to Raul/Fiona, Duminuss also made it to the past, where it began aligning itself with various factions and gaining much knowledge on their robots, while secretly forming an army of its own, including mass-produced Great Mazingers, Devil Aestevalises, Devil Gundams and Fake Combattler Vs.

Eventually, Duminuss captured two crews of the Excellence Team, Raji Montoya and Mizuho Saiki, and had them build another Time Flow Engine. Unfortunately, both of them sabotaged the engine and caused Duminuss to receive fatal wounds. It took the sacrifice of his three children to restore itself. Shattered with the sacrifice, Duminuss vowed to take the Time Flow Engine and defeat the Round Knights, the protagonistic group in Reversal, launching a final attack and revealing its three forms. Duminuss was eventually defeated and screamed that it would die without knowing the purpose of its existence. Mizuho, based on her experience while in its captivity, concluded that Duminuss was closer to that of a human, based on its desire to know its purpose and be accepted in the community.

[edit] Original Generation Timeline

Beginning in Original Generations, Duminuss first appeared in the Shadow-Mirror universe, when the Excellence Team was ambushed by Shadow-Mirror officer, Axel Almer. Duminuss attacked Fiona Gureden, further damaging her Excellence machine and caused its Time Flow Engine to malfunction, catching the whole Excellence team in a dimensional portal.

Duminuss' three creations were spotted in the Original Generation universe, after the Inspectors were defeated. Duminuss itself hid within the shadows, aligning itself with Professor Wilhelm V. Jürgen. When the Earth Federation Army defeated Jürgen, Duminuss finally revealed itself, claiming Jürgen has served its purpose as its pawn and killed him.

She later took over the Hellgate Facility, as its base of operations and saved Lamia Loveless, who was shot by Juergen, but only to use her to manipulate the whole ODE System into its private army, as well as to use her as an emotional weapon, seeing that the failure of the Earth Federation army to save her caused a huge crush to their morale, a second failure rescue attempt would completely kill their morale. This later proved to be a failure, as Duminuss' ignorance to Axel Almer back in the Shadow Mirror world backfired on her, as he came back from the dead and freed Lamia from her influence.

Duminuss also amassed an army of space monsters, found by Tiz, during her entourage in space, and had her steal the Wendigo mobile weapon. Duminuss also made a deal with the Shura Army, contacting with Shura advisor, Mizal Touval, often, also helping his personal ambition to overthrow Shura King Alkaid Nassh. Lastly, it plotted to look for the perfect body for the recently discovered Armor of Emmy, containing the soul of the sister to Warrior Roar. Apparently, Duminuss conspired with the Shura to capture the sister of Kouta Azuma, Shouko Azuma, who was later forced to wear the the armor, brainwashed as Emmy, and fought her brother. However, she eventually lost her as well.

After losing both Lamia and Emmy, Duminuss decided to have Raji Montoya and Mizuho Saiki captured, demanding them to create a third Time Flow Engine, while putting them under Despoiniz' watch. After learning about her creator, Warrior Roar's nemesis, the Dark Brain, Duminuss abandoned the idea of developing the Time Flow Engine and the Hellgate Facility altogether, and instead departed to the Shura fortress of Swordian, where she heard that Dark Brain resided there. When Lalia and Tiz are cornered, Duminuss comes out and merges with both of them, battling the Earth Federation Army, but was defeated. It retreated, calling forth Dark Brain. However, in a karmic fashion, Duminuss was destroyed by its master.

It is mentioned that Duminuss, in the Original Generation universe, is codenamed Dunamis 3, meaning the Dark Brain may also have been the creator of Duminuss in the Reversal story, and used some means to trick the Reversal story Duminuss, to make it think that it killed its creator. Unlike Duminuss in Reversal, Original Generation Duminas has little passion toward the homunculi, even claim that it can does whatever it want with these creation.

[edit] Despoiniz, Lalia And Tiz

The three homunculus creations of Duminuss, Despoiniz and Tiz are females while Lalia is a male. All of them behave and appear like children, but their innocent personalities are but a cover for their ferocity and lethality in the battlefield; they will not hesistate to kill. Each one is willingly loyal to their creator, even to the point where they were willing to sacrifice themselves to restore Duminuss to life, claiming that if it won the battle, they could be recreated again. All three children have different wishes about how they wanted to be rebuilt by Duminuss:

  • Despoiniz wishes to be a kinder and gentler person.
  • Lalia wishes to be more like a man than a boy.
  • Tiz wishes for a more slender, mature body.

Despoiniz is generally known as the kind-hearted one, while Tiz were the rougher of the trio, Lalia is usually seen as a middle way for the three.

One notable accomplishment by one of the children, Despoiniz, is that she is the one responsible of utilizing the Devil Gundam Cells to resurrect Master Asia of Mobile Fighter G Gundam from the dead and use him Duminuss' minions. Master Asia would be freed from her control, after he is defeated by the Round Knights. This event is also carried over to Original Generation Gaiden, except that Duminuss had Despoiniz look over Lamia Loveless using the ODE System.

Unlike in the Reversal storyline, where all three homunculi ceased to exist, after they sacrified themselves for the Duminuss, only Tiz and Lalia merged with Duminuss. In turn, Despoiniz survived, being the last of the three and the only one not merged with Duminuss, when the Dark Brain destroyed Duminuss. After helping the Earth Federation Army fight the Dark Brain, Despoiniz was adopted by Raul into the Gureden family.
