[edit] Succession Box
Should the title in the Succession box be 'Duleep Singh'? I would have thought it would be 'Maharaja of Punjab'? ::Supergolden:: 14:38, 28 February 2006 (UTC)- Where is there any evidence about the rumour he was the father of Prince Leopold? There don't seem to be any sources....I mean, it's pretty explosive!Luckyles 20:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sir John Login
There is a biography of Duleep Singh's guardian at http://www.buyorkney.com/roots/biographies/ that you might like to link to. It concentrates on Sir John, rather than his ward, but is based on the two books written by Lady Login, 'Sir John Login and Duleep Singh' and Lady Login's Recollections. She was obviously very fond of Duleep Singh and felt he had been badly treated by the British Government. According to Lady Login, her husband, though indeed devout, was disturbed at Duleep Singh's decision to convert to Christianity, knowing how it would appear to his countrymen. The trip to England was not exile and was only intended to be for two years - the Mutiny intervened. If you can get hold of them, the books make very interesting reading. Although the very basis of their presence there now seems wrong to us, the Logins clearly loved the Punjab and did their best for it.Merrydancer 10:02, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Move needed
The article is under Duleep Singh, while the talk page is under "Duleep Singh of the Sikh Empire". One of them needs to move. Frickeg (talk) 23:49, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
