Shaded-relief image of northeast Minnesota and adjoining areas in central North America, 90 meter grid, Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, republished by University of Minnesota Department of Geology and Geophysics. The crescent-shaped region north of Lake Superior between Duluth and Pigeon Point is the Duluth Complex. Original image has been cropped, labels were added, and state borders have been emphasized.
