Duke of Viseu

Duke of Viseu (in Portuguese Duque de Viseu) was an aristocratic Portuguese title with the level of Royal Dukedom, that is, associated with the Portuguese Royal House, created in 1415, by King John I of Portugal to the prince Henry the Navigator.
The family name associated with the Ducal House of Viseu is Lencastre or Lancastre, derived from the wife of King John I of Portugal, Philippa of Lancaster, daughter of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster and founder of the House of Lancaster, and Aviz.
Its holders were:

- Ferdinand of Portugal, 1st Duke of Beja (1433-1470)
- John of Viseu, 2nd Duke of Beja (1448-1472)
- Diogo of Viseu, 3rd Duke de Beja (1450-1484)

- Miguel of Braganza (1878-1923)
- Infante Miguel, Duke of Viseu (born 1946) (brother of Duarte Pio, Duke of Braganza)
