Maynard "Duke" Pettijohn (born June 7, 1977) is an Arena Football League fullback/linebacker for the Dallas Desperados. Pettijohn is a graduate of Syracuse University and two-time member of the All Big East Team.

Pettijohn attended West Roxbury High School in Boston, Massachusetts, where he lettered three times in basketball, and four times in football. As a senior football linebacker, he was the Team MVP an All-City pick, an All-League pick, the League MVP, an All-State pick, and a Consensus Player of the Year.

Pettijohn started his AFL career in 2001 with the Orlando Predators before moving to the Desperados in 2003. Pettijohn was named to the 2006 AFL All-Arena First Team and to the All-Ironman Team, which honors outstanding players who play both offense and defense in the AFL. Now, Duke coaches the Parish Episcopal School Panthers[1] who had their best season this year when Duke came.
