[edit] Dear Duja...
May I disturb your peace with another word (possibly obsure Croatian slang again): otrcanu politikansku floskulu = banal politician's ? (accusative case?). Nadam se da sve je dobro stobom. SaundersW (talk) 17:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's not slang, but it's slightly obscure (my dictionary doesn't list it); I can't recall the exact English term though. It means "empty idiom/phrase/expression", and always has negative meaning—the thingo that is repeated so much in the political speech that it lost any meaning, you know. "Otrcan" means more "worn out" than "banal" (although the latter also works); my dictionary suggests "trite".
I'm going to a wikibreak, so it will probably be more efficient to use e-mail. Duja► 07:44, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello :-)
I see you put a notice on my talk page that I'm on a wikibreak. Very nice of you, therefore, you get to be the first person to be informed of my comeback. Just so you know. --Dijxtra (talk) 19:36, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series)
Hi. I noticed that you closed a discussion regarding the naming of the above article, where you concluded:
- that the TV series is the primary usage of the phrase "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and
- that there should be a seperate disambiguation page.
However, you also chose to leave the primary topic article at Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series) and have the primary topic redirect to it. As you acknowledged in your closing summary, this is clearly not in line with naming conventions.
I have attempted to move the article to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and have been reverted and now the page is move protected. My position is that:
- consensus has rightly determined that the TV show is the primary usage
- naming conventions dictate that the primary topic should not have a disambiguated title (I quote the NCs at Talk:Buffy_the_Vampire_Slayer_(TV_series)#If_this_the_primary_topic.2C_there_should_be_no_disambiguation_in_the_title), and
- although naming conventions are not binding there's absolutely no reason in this case to override them.
Note also that with judicious use of {{otheruses1}} - http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Buffy_the_Vampire_Slayer_%28TV_series%29&diff=176150173&oldid=176139573 - the dab header in the main article makes it entirely clear to readers what article they have reached and where they need to head to if they've arrived at the wrong place.
So, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like you to contribute to the discussion here and, in particular, let us know if there's any strong reason why naming conventions should be ignored in this case and, if there isn't, give your backing to my naming scheme. Evidently you know I have the guidelines on my side as you wrote that your closure was a "rotten compromise, and it goes against NCs". My point is that it does and without good reason.
This is in no way a complaint, merely a hopeful request that you could help solve the inevitable impasse. The editor who has "got there way" will probably just sit back now content with the "outcome" :) --kingboyk (talk) 17:58, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
I just wanted to tell u I have quit wikipedia, and i hope taht i would be allowed to delete a fragment of your talk page in archive six, which comes up as one of the first results when u type my name in google. I hope u can consider an apology from me in regards to the way i have conducted myself. I see i can not (yet) make too much of a positive contribution. [edit] leaving wikipedia
Hi Duja.
When you return, can you please restore my talk page/user page to my last versions in case anyone edits them, and protect them both? I've had just about all I can take on Wikipedia, and don't think it's worth my time and energy anymore.
Best of luck to you, your work here on Wikipedia and patience with those who don't deserve it motivated me to stay as long as I did, but now I think I've lost what little I had left.
Take care. // laughing man 23:14, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bosniaks
Greetings. I've noticed you are one of the editors who has edited the Bosniaks article. I was wondering if you would have any input into a few "revert wars" happening lately over there. Here's a diff. Personally, I think the changes are biased, a little racist/xenophobic, but mostly, they are wrong.
P.S, I've sent this message to a few of the users I've seen in the page history to try to get a discussion started. 121.222.199.140 (talk) 10:04, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
