Duel Personality is a 1966 Tom and Jerry cartoon produced and directed by Chuck Jones.
[edit] Plot
The camera zooms in on a mansion. Inside, Tom is whacking at Jerry with a heavy ball attached to a rope. The fourth time he swings, Tom hits a loose floorboard and sends Jerry careening into a clothes drawer. Tom is drawing back for another strike, but Jerry signals for Tom to stop. Tom brakes and catches his ball, but then falls to the ground because of its weight. Jerry slaps Tom with a glove and Tom then slaps himself. Tom looks around, and seeing nobody, challenges Jerry to a duel. Jerry accepts.
The title cards are then shown as the camera zooms towards the duo preparing to duel.
FIRST CHALLENGE: BB guns.
Jerry and Tom march away from each other with BB guns, but Jerry is so small he loses control of his gun and it fires at Tom's rear. Tom grabs his rear in pain. Jerry titters, but the pellet approaches behind him and nails him into the ground.
SECOND CHALLENGE: Fencing.
Tom and Jerry rattle their epees, but Jerry ends up twisting his into a hook. Tom gets ready to skewer him, but Jerry throws a boomerang-sword which spears Tom in the back on its return. Jerry titters again, but the sword digs into the ground right next to him and takes the mouse into the ground as well.
THIRD CHALLENGE: Bow and arrow.
Tom and Jerry both draw arrows, but they end up shooting themselves instead of the arrows. They run into each other as the camera alternates between the two akin to chicken.
FOURTH CHALLENGE: Cannons.
Jerry and Tom light fuses on their cannons, but the recoil when they fire expels everything but the two projectiles off the scene. The two shells then fall to the ground.
FIFTH CHALLENGE: Slingshots.
Both Jerry and Tom march away from each other with a slingshot and a rock.
Jerry sets his weapon up and draws it back, but cannot control it and it fires into Tom's stomach as he is turning around. Tom is pushed into a tree and fires his rock. It latches onto Jerry's slingshot and pushes him back into another tree. Tom's rock then latches onto his own slingshot. Tom peers at it and watches it come back, but he should have ducked again: The rock hits him and causes the screen to display: BLAP! Tom then latches onto Jerry's slingshot and hits Jerry with a second BLAP! Tom then is launched back the other way and gets stuck in the tree.
Tom frees himself and returns to the chase. The chase through the mansion is repeated, but this time Jerry issues the challenge and Tom declines by tearing up the card. Tom then pursues Jerry with the glove.
