I created this page mostly from the Dubois information on the main page. However, I'd like to really open this up and discuss who the Dubois family are. Attitudes, show & strip appearances, facts & figures, things that really help the reader to get to know Tom, Sara, and Jaz. Oh, and I'd also like better references. You might wanna put something up about how McGruder named Tom and his entire family after W.E.B. DuBois, and how Tom really exemplifies what DuBois wrote about when discussing how black people should strive for in society; namely, higher education and integration with white people. Obviously, Tom went to an Ivy League school and is married to a white woman.

I was looking up Barack Obama on wikipedia earlier today and I noticed the cartoon's version of Tom seems a little based on Barack in terms of appearance. Anyone else notice this?Michael Cook 08:12, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
