Dubwath

Dubwath is a hamlet in Cumbria, England.

Dubwath contains two bus stops, a no coins phonebox, a sailing club and a restaurant called 'The Pheasant' which has recently won a best bar in Britain award. at grid reference NY199307. It is situated on the B5291 road between Cockermouth and Keswick. It is directly adjacent to Bassenthwaite Lake (a popular sailing location). Most of the buildings date back to Victorian times. It used to be next to a railway which has now been replaced with an A road, the A66. It is on the Workington to Edinburgh bus route. It cost £1.20 to get a bus from Dubwath to Cockermouth. Rallies are often had on the roads around Dubwath. The sailing club is a popular tourist location particularly in 'bass week' in the summer.
