Dubravka Šuica

Dubravka Šuica is the mayor of Dubrovnik, Croatia. She is currently serving her second term, and is the first female mayor in Dubrovnik's history. Elected first in 2001, she is a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and also sits in the Croatian Sabor (parliament). She is the president of the Croatian delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and also vice-president of the congress itself. In 2006 she was elected one of the Top 10 World Mayors at the competition organized by World Mayor.

Šuica was born in Dubronik on May 20, 1957. She is married to Stijepo, a serving captain on a cruise liner.
