Dublin Mid West is a constituency represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas, located in County Dublin. It came into existence at the 2002 general election, composed of parts of the Dublin South West and Dublin West constituencies. It contains the towns of Clondalkin, Lucan Rathcoole and Saggart. In the constituency review of 2004 the town of Palmerstown was incorporated into Dublin Mid-West, from Dublin West. The constituency has an electorate of 55,184 and at present is served by 4 TDs. It gained an extra seat at the 2007 general election. The method of election is the Single Transferable Vote.
