Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) was founded in Dubai in February 2006, and is providing products and services in six sectors spanning research & development, education, manufacturing, maintenance, repair & overhaul, aircraft leasing and other aerospace services. DAE is based at Dubai World Central – the new 140 square kilometre airport and logistics city being constructed in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
DAE's partners include EMAAR, ISTITHMAR, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA), Dubai International Capital, Dubai International Financial Centre, Government of Dubai and AMLAK Finance.

On 12 November 2007 DAE signed letters of intent for aircraft order worth $27 billion at the 2007 Dubai Airshow. The order comprises 200, equally split, aircraft between Airbus and Boeing: 70 A320s, 30 A350 XWBs, 70 B737s, 10 B777-300ERs, 15 B787s and 5 B747-8Fs.[1]
