Dušan Spasojević, also known under his widely used nicknames Šiptar and Duća, was the boss of the biggest criminal group that ever existed in Serbia known informally as the Zemun clan.
The peak of this cartel's influence occurred from 2000 until 2003 when Spasojević was killed by Serbian police on March 27, 2003 following a country-wide manhunt that took place after the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić.
