[edit] About me
I'm David O'Toole, a new wikipedian. I live in Northborough, Massachusetts. I've been reading wikipedia for some time now, and have increasingly had the urge to contribute something. So I opened a wikipedia account and here I am!
- See if I can help improve the article on Deconstruction. Its section on "Criticisms" seems to leave out criticism of Derrida's theory of language (which underpins deconstruction.) I wonder if it would be cool to add a synopsis of such an argument, along with a reference to John Ellis' "Against Deconstruction". Also the article has a lot of weasel words (i.e. "many critics believe...")
In fact the whole section on criticisms seems a bit poorly developed and seemingly skimmed from tirades against Deconstruction in journals like The New Criterion. Not to push a POV here but I happen to be aware that the criticisms of deconstruction have been developed to much more depth than the present Deconstruction article would have you believe.
- Create a small article about GNU Eev, or perhaps add a mention to Emacs
- Create an article about the author and professor John M. Ellis
- Add something about my town, Northborough, Massachusetts perhaps reporting interesting facts from the History of Northborough book that got published a while back.
