[edit] Save and preview

Please use the preview button more instead of saving so often. It puts unnecessary strain on the servers and clutters the edit history. r3m0t talk 00:27, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Uscapitol.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Uscapitol.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 06:08, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page deletion

I was disappointed that you deleted a page I had made without following the deletion policy. I was trying to find time to add the rest of the information that would confirm its relevance, and of course the policy generally allows lag times for expansion and improvement - and even a lot of improvement. I made another page but that required some backtracking and more time. I see you have objected on the grounds that making a new page of a deleted page is uncool. However, if I had some lag time before the previous deletion, I could have provided more information in time to prevent deletion in the first place.

As to the new page, I am keeping your comments in mind and adding information as I can. Because this involves an attorney and attorney-client privilege, I am not listing his high-profile clients until they agree to be listed. I hope if you have any other questions you will let me know. I finally made a talk page so you can contact me that way now. Please keep in mind I probably will be able to check it daily, but I will as often as I can. Acham 15:39, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please comply with page deletion policy before deleting

I may have been hasty below - I thought I saw in hx that you had deleted page again, but I may have read wrong. Sorry if I jumped too soon. Anyway, will be glad to consider any new suggestions/comments. Tx. Acham 22:52, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Any suggestions you have will be considered. Any policy you can cite for failure to include will also be considered. I have already asked that you comply with waiting period. Must I ask for page protection?

The "Speedy deletion" policy governs limited cases where Wikipedia Administrators may delete Wikipedia pages or media "on sight" without further debate, as in the cases of patent nonsense or pure vandalism. Non-admins can request deletion of such a page, either by listing it on speedy deletions, or by adding a deletebecause|Reason box template. The word "speedy" in this context refers to the rapid decision-making process, not the length of time since the article was created.

Before nominating an article for speedy deletion, please consider whether an article could be improved or reduced to a stub. Also, please note that some Wikipedians create articles in multiple saves, so try to avoid deleting a page too soon after its initial creation. Users nominating a page for speedy deletion should specify which criteria the article meets; it would also be considerate to notify the original author — remember, everyone was new once. [edit] "Macaca" Quote

Hello. You added the phrase "outside the beltway" to the end of Senator George Allen's "macaca" quotation. I saw a video and did not hear this. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you. [edit] License tagging for Image:Davis34.jpeg

Thanks for uploading Image:Davis34.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re: Richard Pombo

I think this edit of yours is slightly incorrect. See Twentieth Amendment to the United States Constitution section 1: the new representative takes office at noon, not midnight. 67.117.130.181 11:22, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
