[edit] Need further explanation

Good day Mr. Dsmdgold

Do you have anything against me? Why did you delete my article? Can you please explain it more. I have written my position of not to delete my article. Did you find time to read it? Did you ever think of the sacrifices I am trying to make to contribute to this site? I know of some rules in making an article and writing an article about an organization has a big chance of being deleted. But why are there lots of articles like mine that I can read everyday in this same site? Jhei ann (talk) 04:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks^_^

Ok, thank you. I understand it now. I was just unhappy because I did the article twice. Anyway, more power to your site.Jhei ann (talk) 00:05, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi I can see what you mean now and can see that next time i come accross any artcile that im not sure about i will have to do some research before diving straight for the speedy deletion notices.=] Dewster (talk) 16:07, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw that. I've instead tagged it with some suggestions for improvement: sourcing, categories, cites needed, etc. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:54, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Genealogy

Hello Harrisonlatour, I can see that you may be upset with some of the changes I made in the V.R. Coss House article, and with the nomination of several article you started for deletion, and the speedy deletion of several others. I think that perhaps we have arrived here because of misunderstanding of what we are doing at Wikipedia. We are building an encyclopedia. We are not building a genealogical database or a depository of family stories.

[edit] DarkSun

On the band's official website says that they have worked with many important bands like: Primal Fear, Sinner, Rage, Angra... Also says that their album El Lado Oscuro had a great acceptance by the public and was named one of the best Spanish heavy metal albums of the year, they have releasedn 3 studio albums in 5 or 6 years and they are recordind their 4th one DarkSun Website, They wouldn't lie on their website. If this is not important tell me what is then. Iknow you wanted to save the article and that what I'm here for, to ask for your help to save the article and talk about it in the article's entry, please I really need your help. Thanks. Rockk3r (talk 18:07, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

They do have a major record label from Germany, but it's not on wikipedia either. Now I'm getting crazy haha. Rockk3r (talk 22:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bank of Hominy pic etc

Neat that you happened to have a pic of Bank of Hominy ready to upload instantly, whenever someone might start an article on it... :) Thanks also for further improving the Oklahoma skyscrapers and other articles that I worked on earlier today. Hopefully my contributions were helpful, overall, in dealing with the situation, the full scope of which was unclear to me at first. And at least it's nice to get these bank and skyscraper articles started, i think they're neat. Cheers, doncram (talk) 01:29, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Got your message back. About getting the MPS listings, I myself cannot access them by searching from my own PC, i have to use Microsoft Internet Explorer on another PC, then search on "National Register MPS" to get to the search page, then search and write down the URL of interest. I appreciate your view on defending against a bad precedent; I count myself privileged to be in the position of developing articles on NRHPs in a free and leisurely manner, while a foray into another area of wikipedia was just frustrating due to the AfD mechanism being put into play. Thank you, really, for what u did.
About Bank of Hominy, the pic is great to have, but the fact that the MPS is about how the 4 banks are Richardsonian Romanesque in style then gives me pause. Having contemplated Richardson's masterpiece Buffalo State Hospital a lot while working on List of NHLs in New York (and not sure if i started its article or not, too), I understand the style is largely about having interestingly large masses (although perhaps also conveying solidity through brickwork, i am not sure if that is part of the style). But then, how can a 2 story building that is perhaps rather plain in overall shaping be part of that style? I wonder, do you have or could you go back and take more pictures, from farther back to see the whole building and any massings, and closer on details. I can somewhat see that it is brick and has potentially romanesque round arches as a motif around the top. But more photographical investigation and explanation would be nice. Perhaps they are really nice closeup and comparable to the "Jewel box" bank buildings by Louis Sullivan in small towns in Wisconsin and elsewhere, I wonder?

I wonder further, do you have pics for any of the 20 NHLs on List of National Historic Landmarks in Oklahoma? One NHL pic is worth 10,000 words, perhaps. :) Cheers, doncram (talk) 04:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Jesse Bushyhead

I have nominated Jesse Bushyhead, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jesse Bushyhead. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] Question regarding db-g3 template

I recently tagged the Jeff Stanis article with the db-g3 template which you declined. That's fine, but my question is, did I use the correct db template? The article is obviously entirely made up and doesn't warrant sticking around Wikipedia for 5 days, in my opinion. Is there another method to delete it ASAP? Thanks. — X96lee15 (talk) 05:37, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removing the "speedy" tag from Veriflora

The article is really about the Veriflora organization, and I feel that the organization qualifies under that part of A7, as a group. If you concur, please restore the tag. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:18, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. Can you salt the page, or perhaps let the author recreate it once more and then salt it? Either way; the author doesn't seem to catch on yet. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 15:19, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Administrator Intervention Needed

Based on what I have seen from my Watchlist, two editors with whom you have prior experience dealing with, User:Andyjsmith and User:Harrisonlatour have been involved in a dispute over the Ed Edmondson article, which has culminated in User:Harrisonlatour suggesting on the article's Talk page that he would like to see the article protected from editing. As I said in my comments there, I think such a request is overblown under the circumstances. I have also discussed this matter with User:Andyjsmith who told me on his Talk page, that making such overblown requests seems to be User:Harrisonlatour's solution for dealing with problems on Wikipedia. --TommyBoy (talk) 19:09, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi. You know this guy Harrisonlatour. I'm not concerned about his request for page protection - if you look at his contribs he does it pretty often whenever he's reverted and I can't see that any admin would take it seriously.
What's more important is that he seems utterly incapable of learning how to use WP. I'm not the only one who reverts him by any means but just look at his talk page - it's gone beyond silly. Mostly he's just dumping rubbish from his personal archive into vaguely relevant articles. Sometimes the relevance is only word association. But he's also been making politically motivated edits and can't understand what's wrong with that. IMHO he has a genuine problem working out what WP is. Lots of editors have explained it slowly and clearly and the message obviously isn't getting through. With the best will in the world I just don't think he's capable of improving.

[edit] RE: Here's a weird one for you

First off, I regret the six month latency in my reply. I triage and action input in as timely a fashion as is possible, on and off-wiki, with times running between 30 seconds and 18 months as of this writing.

  • live fire test

{{db-attack}}

  • end live-fire test

If your talk page does not become an attack page, then at the time of your writing the above method for neutering & sanitizing human/machine readable templates into strictly human-readable ones had perhaps gone on walkabout for a bit.

If your talk page does become an attack page, the above sanitation method is dead, and I urge you to maintain a safe distance from your now-dangerous talk page.

Hope this helps! <3

[edit] question

Hi again and good day!

I want to report something and I hope you can do the right action to this. Well, I have seen an article here that is about an organization and to tell you the truth, we know this organization. Well, for everybody's information, that organization was a total copy of another organization which was deleted early this year. Constitutions, articles, and the format were patterned to the said organization. And I have seen that this site is becoming biased. I can't understand. Can you please enlighten me.203.82.35.253 (talk) 00:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi! You deleted the article of Retro Uprising. Why isn't this article important enough? I mean, on this website, people can play old video games from their childhood-time. Volkov talk 16:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
