[edit] Infoboxes
Only add the main postion of each players in the infobox, not each positon that they ever played, I already warned you once, you are going against consensus. This is a Secret account 13:43, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
Once again, let me ask you kindly to use edit summaries. You are making lots of edits -- take a couple seconds to let everyone know what they are. And keep up the good work on baseball articles. -Phoenixrod (talk) 03:17, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

- A lot of the edit he is making are wrong and misinformed. --Rabbethan 06:27, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- Where are you getting the information for your edits? A good number of the edits you are making are full of false information. Can you please fact check before you make these edits? Also, there is no need to makes 9 changes on a single page by editing and submitting them one by one. I'm sure once you get the hang of editing and fact checking, you will be a valued contributor to Wikipedia. --Rabbethan 06:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

- There's been an issue with nearly all of his edits. Whether it's adding incorrect numbers, incorrect players, changing the way numbers are done, etc., he's making a big mess and nearly all his edits are having to be undone.►Chris NelsonHolla! 13:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tampa Bay Rays vs Tampa Bay Devil Rays
The consensus has been reached that players who played for the Devil Rays before the name change will have their articles state that they played for the Devil Rays and not the Rays. You can read the discussion here. --Rabbethan 17:45, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Player numbers
For the player numbers, I suggest you not take them from ESPN. They are inaccurate and when they add signed free agents to the roster, they will usually intially put up their old number. --Street20 03:50, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
When you change a player's number, can you please put a source in the edit summary? --Rabbethan 08:54, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Positions
When a player is a center fielder, there is no need for you to change the reference to say instead that they are an outfielder.--Epeefleche (talk) 00:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Devil Rays
your are becoming a pain in the ass with this, please stop they were colled the D-Rays last year--Rockies17 (talk) 04:20, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Templates & view/discuss/edit
I saw your question on Template:Oakland Athleticsabout the v/d/e on a table. Certain template styles (like Template:navbox) have them included, or you can add Template:Tnavbar-header to insert them "manually". Hope this helps.
The edit link points to the name of the template as specified in the template. So, the location indicated in the temp must be the acutal location of the temp. Hope this helps. Be sure to take a look at the coding of pre-existing tables to learn more. -NatureBoyMD (talk) 02:38, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. [edit] players positions
please do not add a players second position to the infobox, because when you do that there is a red link, you keep on doing it despite people undoing your edits, so please stop--Yankees10 (talk) 03:25, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Why don't we change the MLB infobox to accomodate multiple positions, like the NFL infobox? -Street20 21:22, 05 January 2007 (UTC)
good idea, do you know how to do that?--Yankees10 (talk) 21:56, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- All we have to do is de-link the field in the infobox, so that you can link it yourself.►Chris NelsonHolla! 21:59, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Eddie Guardado
I have reverted your changes to Eddie Guardado. Guardado has not signed with the team. I would advise you not to make such changes without citing reliable sources. Caknuck (talk) 00:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your controversial edits
- Some of the stuff that you edit is wrong.
- Let me just give some examples: You made an edit to Manny Ramírez which said that he was born in the Bronx when he was actually born in the Dominican Republic, which I reverted as vandalism. In the case of Josh Towers, he has not finalized his contract and the only things that we put in the roster templates are official. Not finalizing his contract is not official. In the case of adding numbers, you kept saying that Guillermo Mota was going to be #53, turns out he took #58. Other examples include saying that Geoff Geary was going to take #56 when he took #29 and José Castillo taking number #15 when he took #13. Some other edits that you do, like to the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, and Tampa Bay Rays roster templates, is to delete the space between players who go by their initials, for example J. R. Towles. You would constantly change J. R. Towles into J.R. Towles and we would constantly change it back yet you insisted on reverting our edits back. In the case of infoboxes, you kept adding multiple positions so you would make the link invalid, which is why we added another part to the infobox so you can put in multiple positions without having any problems. Yet after we did this, you still added multiple positions to 'position' after you already learned that we added the 'positionplain' section to the infobox. I also just reverted your edit that you made to Template:Kansas City Royals roster in which you put Billy Butler as a designated hitter yet you should of have already learned that we strictly follow MLB.com when it comes to players positions. This is why when you put Ryan Braun in the list of outfielders in Template:Milwaukee Brewers roster, it was reverted. Other stuff that you do was to constantly change the colors in the roster templates even after we told you not to do it. The colors have already been established and there is no reason for you to change it. -Street20 22:31, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's style is that there is a space between initials. I personally hate it, but that's the way it is.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Pirates
Hello. I reverted your edits to {{Pirates}} and moved it back to the original place (you moved it to Famouse Pirates). If you are moving something, you first need to ask for consensus on the Talk page. Also the Pittsburgh Pirates do not need that space. There is already a template for Pittsburgh Pirates at {{MLB_Pirates_franchise}}. Pirates takes priorty over the baseball team since Piracy is the actual thing while it is only the mascot of the baseball team. Thanks! Deflagro C/T 22:09, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please don't "correct" talk pages
When someone makes a comment on a talk page, other editors should leave it alone except in cases where the comment violates policy, and even then, they need to mark the change. If someone is too illiterate to spell and frame a comment correctly, many of use that information in evaluating the comment itself.Kww (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:13, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bedard and Jones
I reverted both the Adam Jones and Erik Bedard pages for the time being, let's wait until the trade is actually announced/spoken of by someone with either organization. Thanks. CiTrusD (talk) 02:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] MLB Player Status Changes=
Please wait for a team to make an official announcement before updating the appropriate pages. Very often - deals fall through at the last minute... or were nothing more than a rumor. An "agreement" is not official. JustSomeRandomGuy32 (talk) 19:47, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] All-Time rosters
You shouldn't be adding new people to Major League team all-time rosters until they actually appear in a game for that team. Those rosters reflect only people who have played for the team in a MLB game. Spanneraol (talk) 18:15, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Luis Gonzalez
The deal between the Marlins and Luis Gonzalez is not official. It's just an agreement at this point, it has not be announced, and it could very well fall through. Please stop posting it. --Rabbethan 19:40, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you take my reply to one of your incorrect statements off a talk page again, I will report you to an admin. --Rabbethan 20:01, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup hitter
Very interesting chart you've added to Cleanup hitter. If possible, could you provide references there? Thanks! Kingturtle (talk) 20:54, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- He can't... It's all speculation and projections.... Doesn't belong. JustSomeRandomGuy32 (talk) 21:13, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- We have references to make such a chart for 2007, if you like. Kingturtle (talk) 21:14, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Closer, Ace, Leadoff hitter, and Cleanup hitter
Will you please stop putting these unsourced statements to which you have no proof of in these pages. We have told you numerous times about this and the policies of Wikipedia. At this point, you are just becoming vandalous. Stop it. --Rabbethan 01:38, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- In response to what you said on my talk page, I didn't delete them, I re-hid them like Street20 had done. We (Chris Nelson, Street20, JustSomeRandomGuy32, Yankees10, myself, and others) have told you several times that the edits you were making to those and other pages needed to be sourced and about how you would go along with such a thing, but even after two months of having to revert numerous edits, a good number of them wrong, you have yet to grasp the concept that you need to check your sources before you make edits. So what I did is not "messed up", as you put it. Quite the opposite, I had to un-mess up what you have been doing despite what everyone has been telling you. --Rabbethan 03:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Stop editing those pages!! We have told you why, and you keep doing it! Projections, especially your terrible projections, have no place on Wikipedia! --Rabbethan 23:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Gregg.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Gregg.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:38, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AMill.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:AMill.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] things to read
As you continue to grow as a Wikipedia editor there are a few helpful pages for you to read. I realize there are a lot of restrictions in what you can do here, but I think you will also see that there are even more potentials in what you can do here.
- Image use policy
- Your first article
- Avoiding common mistakes
- Writing better articles
- What Wikipedia is not
- Neutral point of view
Cheers, Kingturtle (talk) 21:52, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Step by Step (TV series). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:15, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Anibal.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Anibal.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Can you please provide a source for saying he is a switch hitter? All the sources I see say you are wrong. --Rabbethan 18:04, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, have you ever considered that the one source, an article posted almost 2 years ago, might be wrong when put up against all the most commonly used sources, such as MLB, ESPN, Baseball-Reference.com, The Baseball Cube, and Fan Graphs? Or maybe that he was formerly a switch hitter but no longer is one, like Nook Logan? --Rabbethan 18:23, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Bilde.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Bilde.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Rabbethan 03:16, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Just because a player's name is "Ben" or "Billy", doesn't mean that their given name is "Benjamin" or "William". Sometimes, their name is actually Billy, despite being unusual for a given name. Please check your sources before changing them, namely MLB.com. --Rabbethan 05:35, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Kansas City Royals roster
Just a note on your recent edits to Template:Kansas City Royals roster. First, please do not add any protection templates to pages which are not protected. The template itself does nothing to protect the page -- only an admin can do that.
Second, please do not rely on wikis for solid information about rosters. This particular template should mirror the information found at the Official Royals website, which has Butler in the infield. Until that site changes where they have Butler, please don't change the template here. Thanks!--Fabrictramp (talk) 18:30, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of List of Rugrats characters
An editor has nominated List of Rugrats characters, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Rugrats characters and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 14:00, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
