[edit] Introduction
Dryfee [Dry-FEE] was born January 1st, 1986. He is currently a student at ITAM in Mexico City, where he lives. He is interested in Economics, Mathematics, Philosophy, History, Religions, Political Science, International Relations, among a very wide variety of topics pertaining, mainly, Human Behaviour and notable (preferably measurable) Social Phenomena.
[edit] Personal Interests
Dryfee is a keen listener to all types of music but prefers Classical Music when studying, reading or over-the-speed-limit driving (seriously). However he listens Alternative Rock, Pop and Electronic music on a regular basis. He believes that Frank Sinatra is both a demigod and the quintesence of manhood expressed through music. He likes to play tennis, walk on the park, meet new people and read Random articles in Wikipedia. His favourite movies are The Devil's Advocate, Lord of War, The Godfather (all three), and The sword in the stone.
Probaly, his main interest is the opposite sex, hence he is also well versed in female psychology. He he likes to do both academic and experimental research in this field. Concordantly, Dryfee enjoys without paragon: dating, approaching and talking to women. As a result of his studies, Dryfee belives that both seduction and love are arts that can be perfected through observation, experimentation and hypothesizing. Nevertheless, Dryfee is a hopeless romantic. It should be noted that Dryfee makes a clear distinction between seduction and love, and that this user does not intend to write any article on such unencyclopedic topics.
Although innevitabily bound to it, Dryfee is an avid critic of postmodernism since he is, at heart, a blend between a Renaissance man and an Old Whig. Politically, Dryfee is a vocal supporter of democracy. He profoundly believes that negative liberty is far more important than positive liberty in the role concerning to the state. Economically, this user believes in free market and laissez faire. He is a follower of Adam Smith's philosophy and the Chicago School of Economics point of view on economic policy. Philosophically, Dryfee enjoys the points of view of Locke, Kant, Nietzsche, Weber and Nozick. Although in discordance, he appreciates the new light shed by Marx and Hegel to philosophic thought. Finally, this user blatantly disagrees with Rousseau, Habermas, Adorno and basically the whole Frankfurt School.
[edit] As a Wikipedian
Furthermore, he contributes to Wikipedia by correcting any grammar or spelling mistakes he may encounter on his way. As an economics student, he is currently working on improving the IS-LM article and plans to write about the Mundell-Fleming model this summer as well as translating into spanish some economics related articles. He also contributes by correcting and formalizing any mathemaical proofs he may run into. Randomly, Dryfee would also like to write about the Mexican culture as soon as he dilucidates it.
