Talk:Dry dam
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am not sure with terminology. Is it a good example of dry dam or bunding? --Snek01 10:03, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Still don't understand
I still don't understand how these dams work. Is it walls on the side of river that only let a certain amount out? Seems like that would just make it flow faster? Is it a dam? But if it has no gates how would it be able to hold back more water during flooding? I just aint getting it. is it just a short levy on one side? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.110.221.182 (talk • contribs) February 8, 2007.
- I added an external link which should help. The pictures in the gallery above don't appear to be dry dams. Malepheasant 22:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
