Dry Shoal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dry Shoal, an exposed sandbar to the north and east of Muskeget, is a hazard to navigation. Part of the Muskeget Island group, Dry Shoal, was once larger. Now separated by a stretch of fairly shallow water, it is accessible to kayakers and it is known for its seal nesting sites. It is possible to walk from Muskeget to Dry Shoal, but that is when the lowest tides occur.

From Dry Shoal, one can see Chappaquiddick (From Wasque Point to Cape Poge.) to Great Point, on the northern tip of Nantucket Island. There is no human population on Dry Shoal. Dry Shoal belongs to Nantucket County.
