[edit] License tagging for Image:McCain F.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:McCain F.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.
For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. -- Ronz 15:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My suggestion
To elaborate on my reply on my talk page: To avoid conflict of interest problems, the best solution is for you to find sources that are helpful in verifying the information currently in the article, and sources useful for finding further information that might be appropriate for inclusion in the article. If you suggest these sources on the Talk page and otherwise focus on contributing to the Talk page, you can avoid the coi problems. See WP:OR for more information on proper sources.
As the article as it is now, relies (almost?) entirely on sources from DMI. That needs to change to meet WP:CORP (or you risk the article being deleted), and most other policies and guidelines as well. -- Ronz 15:48, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Drum Major Institute. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. If you aren't clear what is needed in order to clean-up the article, please discuss at the article's talk page. Sancho 15:49, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
