This entry should probably appear under 1199, not as Drug, Hospital, and Health Care Employees Union as the name of the National Union that was (and is) widely used was "1199." Further, 1199 was initially a local of a another union (I think it was called the Retail Workers Union, RWU). I made a few changes: I created a link for 1199... though this then redirects to the year. There should probably be a disambiguation page, or something. (Sorry... did I mention I'm new at this.) I also added the part about 1199 becoming a national union, and I clarified that all of 1199 did not join SEIU, but that 1199B in Philly (and I think a local in New Mexico... but I'm not sure) actually joined AFSCME. I also removed the line about SEIU's progressive past not because I dispute it(quite the contrary), but because it's a pretty bold statement to go uncited. I am planning on digging out some books on SEIU so I can create an actual real entry, but any feed back here would be great. (Also... I don't know if this matters, but in the interest of full disclosure I work for 1199 West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, though they certainly aren't paying me for this entry.) I agree--this should definitely be the main article under 1199, and the year can have be at 1199 (year) or something like that. 71.77.12.236 04:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
