Druids Celtic Cider is a cider produced by Aston Manor Brewery in Trimbleton Lane, Birmingham. It is sold in Ireland has become popular among certain groups of young people, primarily in Dublin and Cork. Its popularity can be attributed to its high alcohol content and its relatively low price. It contains 6% alcohol by volume and is generally sold for one euro fifty cent a can. It contains sulfites, a group of naturally-occurring compounds used as preservatives in fruit-based food products. It has 285 Calories per 500 ml.
Druids has attained cult status amongst some student groups, who celebrate its cheapness and its rivalry with Dutch Gold, Bavaria and Tuborg lagers also popular for their low price.
