[edit] I-Ming's Life
I-Ming Chen, or better known by his online monikers of DrSlump or Roddd, is a Chinese-American. His name is often mispronounced due to the English romanization. The correct way is ee-ming, which is how it sounds in Chinese (Mandarin). Born in Tainan, Taiwan on February 17, 1978, his family moved around his native Tainan until his parents decided to make the move to the United States in 1983.
While he was young, his parents relocated the family all around southern California. He has resided in Los Angeles, Buena Park, Fountain Valley, and Encinitas.
In 1996, he graduated from San Dieguito High School (now San Dieguito Academy, a magnet school) and went to Los Angeles to study at UCLA. After a decade of going through university and community college off and on, he eventually graduated with a degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 2006.
Currently, he works for CHANG Industry, Inc. as the IT administrator.
[edit] His Interests
I-Ming's interests vary greatly from Japanese animation to popular science. Being a true engineer, he is always curious how things work and extremely lazy. They say that laziness often leads people to invent better, faster, or more efficient ways of doing something.
He also has an interest in music and has tried to teach himself to play an electronic keyboard.
As an atheist humanist, he approaches everything with skepticism yet believes one can find optimism in all.
