Talk:Drop weapon

[edit] Unencyclopedic template
How is this page "unencyclopedic?" I personally interviewed people involved and took direct quotes from testimony from the trial as well as direct quotes from other articles regarding this matter. Angrycitizen (talk) 20:42, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Angrycitizen. If you click on the word unencyclopedic in the warning box on the article page you get taken to a policy page of Wikipedia. There are a number of entries on that page that are applicable to Drop weapon.
- Original research -- your comment above about personal interviews is a red flag
- Journalism -- Drop weapon seems to me more like journalism than an encyclopedia entry
- Soapbox -- the article in its current state has the feel of a soapbox article
- Additionally, there are no in-line citations which makes it difficult to verify the facts. I also wonder whether this subject requires its own article or whether it should be a "Drop weapon controversy" section in a larger "Iraq war" article. Please also understand that adding the "unencyclopedic" tag wasn't meant as a personal affront to you, I was just trying to get the article categorized properly so that other editors would know to work on it. —Noah 21:56, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
