Drowning Man is the fifth track on U2's 1983 album, War. Its sound is a departure from the other tracks in War as it is a quiet, atmospheric song heavily influenced by the work of the Comsat Angels. It has never been performed in concert, but Bono did snippet the "hold on, hold on tightly" line during some War Tour performances of "11 O'Clock Tick Tock". There are also unconfirmed reports that it did appear live at a concert in Salt Lake City on 3 June 1983 [1].
