[edit] Biography

The band's name is a play on the phrase "drop-dead gorgeous". They released their first EP entitled Be Mine, Valentine in January 2006, followed by their first full length album in May 2006, In Vogue. They originally could only tour for 3 months across the U.S. and through Canada due to the fact that both guitarists and their drummer hadn't graduated high school. News also broke out on October 20th, 2006, on Rise Records' website, that they recently signed to Geffen/Suretone Records, and their new record would be produced by Ross Robinson. They filmed a music video for "Dressed for Friend Requests" when they played their homecoming show in Denver over their last 2006 tour before heading into the studio to record the follow up to In Vogue. The new record entitled Worse Than A Fairy Tale was released on August 14th 2007, and was leaked on the internet on July 31st. The band has seen some lineup shifts since August 2006 after 2 years of having the same six members, however as of June 2007 the original lineup was intact again, until December 20th, 2007 when keyboardist/vocalist Aaron Rothe announced his departure from the band.

On May 7th, the band put a message on their Myspace, that says they are right now writing a new record coming out this fall.

[edit] Tour

In June of 2007, Drop Dead, Gorgeous played along with fellow Rise Records label mates The Devil Wears Prada, Dance Gavin Dance, and At The Throne of Judgment on the Rise Records tour. From July 18 to July 22, they played a series of shows in Mexico, before joining the Vans Warped Tour 2007, playing dates from July 25 to August 25. In the duration of their touring in Warped Tour, they did not play in their hometown of Denver, Colorado.

In September and October of 2007, they toured in support of Aiden, Still Remains, and 1997 on their first full headlining US tour. They also joined Alesana, Idiot Pilot, and The Number Twelve Looks Like You at the end of November.

They filled in for Escape the Fate at the Australian Taste of Chaos shows.

They are currently on tour with Haste The Day and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. They will be playing the South By Southwest shows in Texas including one listed on their myspace with Paramore and Chiodos. In April they will be heading out to the UK and Europe with Every Time I Die and Scary Kids Scaring Kids .
