Born the son of a Rabbi biker in Western Kentucky. I was raised in a log cabin made of earth and wood. I started playing ukelele at age four and was taught to play rock n' roll guitar by Gail McCarty, cousin to the Everly Brothers. He also taught me to raise pigeons and I became a member of the NPA(National Pigeon Assoc.). I played baseball, raced bicycles and listened to rock 'n roll in the backseat of my Aunt Joe's sailor boyfriend's car in the 50's at the drive in. Sometimes I sat in the front seat and watched the movie and ate popcorn. Boy, that popcorn sure was real good, so I never had a reason to look in the back seat. No, not even once. I dropped out of school in Mrs. McConnell's 2nd grade class. She explained to the class how to play a game and called on me to go first. I told the teacher that I didn't want to play their stupid game. I was banned from playing games for this along with the whole class, who hated me afterwards, because she made us all do math instead of playing the stupid game. That left a bad taste in my mouth, so I became a rebel and grew out my hair and listened to The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Later, this fascination turned to obsession and I was enthralled with the sounds of The Doors, Eric Burden and The Animals, The Electric Prunes, The Kinks, Allman Brothers, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Ian Whitcomb, The Kinks, Les Paul and Mary Ford, Fats Domino, Bill Haley and The Comets, Louie Armstrong, Pete Fountain, The New York Philharmonic Orchestra, The Kinks, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Kinks, The Fugs, Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention, The Kinks, The Who, David Peal and The Lower Eastside, The Kinks, Dave Dudley, Brenda Lee, Clarence Carter, The Carter Family, Bill Monroe and The Blue Grass Boys, Jimmy Martin, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Connie Smith, Wilson Pickett, Pendleton Vandiver, The Buckinghams, The Fairlanes, The Kinks, The Countdowners, Mike Bloomfield, Bob Dylan, DION, Bobby Vee, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, The Kinks, Buddy Holly and The Crickets, The Nightcrawlers, The Kinks, Sam The Sham and The Pharoes, Jim Morrison and the Doors, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Bo Diddley, Albert King, B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Little Richars, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Junior Brown, George Thorogood, The Shocking Pinks, Dr. Hector and The Groove Injectors... I'm sure you get the idea. The Kinks were really good too. "You Really Got Me". Later in life I moved around the country playing music in all kinds of groups. The last one was "Those Darn Beavers" a two-man 5 piece band from Beaver Dam, Kentucky. We played some Kinks stuff too. My latest venture as "Drippy" is a new album release entitled "Banned In America". The Library of Congress misspelled it as it was supposed to read "Band In America", but you know the story, it's the help we get these days. It's just not like it used to be. Rock n' Roll is here to stay. It will never die. Rock n' Roll is fun. The youngsters are expressing themselves in a creative way. There are those who would say "Rock is Dead", so consequently, it is resussitated. Hello, Mary Lou, Goodbye heart.
