[edit] Parody
I could not remember the name of the movie, and could not track it down, so maybe some one could help me.
Years ago the was a movie about some kids who got sucked into their TV after getting a satellite installed. It was full of parodies of movies. One of them was Driving Over Miss Daisy
I think it would be interesting to include it in some sort of trivia.

- Stay Tuned has its own article in Wikipedia, so I'm linking directly to it. I'll let you make the link and text. Val42 07:18, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Play
I seen where a tag had been placed saying that the article should be split up into articles concerning the movie and play versions. From what I can see, about 90 percent of the article deals with the movie, so if more details about the play do come about they should probably be placed in their own articles.

- completly correct. i think the tag should be removed until more things about the play are written. any objections??? Rizk-O 01:30, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Idella's Funeral
Black churches tend not to have any white members. On special occasions, however, white people would be received as special guests. In this case, Miss Daisy and her family came to the funeral because Idella was her long-time employee. Even in the days of segregation, persons like Idella were treated as family, so the Werthan family's attendance at the funeral was not all unusal. By the way, it is far more likely for a white person to be invited into a black church than it is for a black person to be invited into a white church, even today.
