With concensus I have merged this article written by Bsd987 into Drive (R.E.M. song) and changed this page to a disambiguation page.--OlderBrother 12:29, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

- When I looked on the Talk:Drive (R.E.M. song) page last night there was consensus, which was why I got on with it when I got a chance. Now there is not. But it's still three to one in favour of Drive (R.E.M. song). There are two links here which refer to The Cars song - from Live Aid and (I hate to even think about this) power ballads. --OlderBrother 13:10, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's rather difficult to build consensus for a move when no one knows about it. Did you bother discussing it at any other R.E.m. pages where people might be paying attention? --badlydrawnjeff 13:16, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, this is not a big deal, and I don't think it ever was big enough to raise it above the level of this page. If it is a big deal, should I have raised it on The Cars page as well? I don't think your right, but if you want to restore the page to Drive (song) go ahead, better than not having an article at all which is the current situation. As I was the creator of Drive (R.E.M. song) and Bsd987 was the creator of Drive (song) - and we both agreed they should merge to Drive (R.E.M. song), and a third party had marked it for merger to Drive (R.E.M. song) I thought that was consensus. I have already apologised for not rechecking just prior to doing the work, and failing to see your objection. - It's not that much of a big deal except that it's extremely hard for non-admins to fix these problems, and harder to fix them later if not dealt with immediately. I wanted to be sure we didn't run into the same problem with other R.E.M. singles before it became too crazy. --badlydrawnjeff 13:29, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
- I moved Drive (song) to Drive (R.E.M. song), and created a disambiguation page with two other well-known songs named "Drive". - I won't mess with it again, mostly because I'm sick of changing links every time, but keep in mind that the ONLY articles that link to the Cars and Incubus songs are this disambig page. Are you planning on making the pages for those articles? --badlydrawnjeff 20:23, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
