Drivers Incorporated is the first designated driver service in the US capital [1], and the first to use fold-up bicycles to transport their drivers in the United States.
[edit] Beginning
Drivers Incorporated was formed in 2007 to provide a designated driver for an individual's vehicles. The company provides a driver that goes to the person's location, gets in their car, and drives them home. While most people that use the service are intoxicated, they also provide drivers for medical and personal reasons.
When the driver is at the person's final location, they leave the person's car and utilize a variety of methods to get back. Scooters do not play a part, due to issues with their unreliability, lack of comfort, and leaky oil and gas tanks. Rather fold-up bikes, being quicker to set up, less prone to failure and cleaner, are used. For longer rides another vehicle is used to "intercept" the driver.
