[edit] Plot
The film opens with a group of wanna be gangsters ordering food at Hella Burger, a fictional fast food resturant they are attacked and killed by someone dressed as the Hella Burger mascot, Horney the Clown. Meanwhile after a party, Mackenzie Carpenter and Fisher Kent play with a Ouija board, asking "what's going to happen to our pathetic little lives?" The board sends them a message of a license plate number, N1KLPL8. The next day, Mackenzie and Fisher find out that four people were killed by Horny the Clown (from Hellaburger) in the car with that license plate number.
At school, Mackenzie receives strange messages from a magic 8-ball, and she also discovers snapshots of the victims as she develops her camera. Horny the Clown shows up to try to kill her, but Mackenzie manages to get away after running into a police officer. At the carnival, the murders and kidnappings continue. Mackenzie's boyfriend, Fisher is injured and sent to the hospital.
Mackenzie's mother, Marcia, discovers a connection with the parents of the missing children. Marcia reveals that when she was young, she and her friends accidentally killed Archie Benjamin, son of the owner of Hellaburge and that he had came back as Horny the Clown to kill the children of his killers. Mackenzie figures out that since her mother killed Archie on his birthday, Archie is trying to kill Mackenzie on her birthday. Archie kidnaps Mackenzie and ties her up.
