Drissa Kone is a master djembe-drummer from Mali.

Drissa Kone, born in the fifties in a village named Kuruba (on the border of Mali and Guinea), is a master drummer now active in Bamako. Drissa was a student of the legendary Yamadu Bani Dunbia and became a popular festival drummer and soloist of innumerable bales in Mali. Since the 1990 he has toured Europe many times, giving lessons for advanced/professional students.
