Dries Mertens (born May 6, 1987 in Leuven, Belgium) is a Belgian football midfielder, currently playing for AGOVV Apeldoorn. His first club was KAA Gent.

After playing in Gent, he entered Eendracht Aalst where he was known as the "man of the season". He later moved to AGOVV Apeldoorn, where he is presently playing. At this club, he also became one of the most popular players.
