[edit] Unspecified source for Image:20claptonsquare.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:20claptonsquare.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:10, 16 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 02:10, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Erica O'Brien
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Erica O'Brien, by HalJor (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Erica O'Brien seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Erica O'Brien, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Erica O'Brien itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ridley Road Market
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Ridley Road Market, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. [edit] AfD nomination of Ridley Road Market
Ridley Road Market, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Ridley Road Market satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ridley Road Market and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Ridley Road Market during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:21, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chatsworth Road Market
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chatsworth Road Market, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.geocities.com/chatsworthrde5/html/idea.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 21:24, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chatsworth Road Market
Now take a look at this article. It has all the same problems as Ridley Road Market- it doesn't cite any reliable sources, it doesn't explain how or if the place meets our notability criteria, it has too many large pictures. I'd have referred this one for deletion too, but it's also copied from another web site, so I'll just delete it for the copyright infringement instead. If you want to create articles about markets, you're welcome to- but please please please read the notability criteria carefully before you create any more articles. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:47, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright policy advisement regarding articles
Dear Drfinn, regarding your contributionto Ridley Road Market, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites, or from printed material, without the express permission of the author or copyright holder. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from these URLs: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/sightseeing-national/ridley-road-food-market/1025867/, http://www.talkingcities.co.uk/london_pages/shopping_markets.htm and http://www.londonphotos.org/archives/ridley_road_market_dalston_east_london.html As a copyright violation, the article has been deleted under the speedy deletion criteria.
If you choose to recreate the article, please ensure that the material is written in your own words. If you believe that using sentences from the source is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), then you should do one of the following:
-
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at the talk page of the new article and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License, or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page of the new article with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the talk page of the article.
Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Well Street Market
A tag has been placed on Well Street Market, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Gscshoyru 01:59, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 02:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Response to your note
I'm sorry for your frustration, but Wikipedia has a legal imperative to immediately remove material that is taken verbatim from other sources. Using such material is contrary to the laws of the United States and Florida, where Wikipedia exists as a legal entity. Sentences must not be copied from other sources unless they are legally in public domain. You may wish to review Wikipedia:Copyrights. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you disagree with my interpretation of policy with regards to the deletion of this article, you may request a deletion review, where other administrators can review the article and determine if they agree with the closure. If you choose to do so and have any problems with the process, please let me know and I will try to assist you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:18, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chatsworth Road Market
In response to your post on FisherQueen's talk page, the page was deleted because it contained whole sentences copied from this web page. Aside from the fact that it was an obvious copyright problem, I do not understand how it can take hours to copy and paste text. Your original contributions are welcome, but please do not copy text from other websites. Thank you. -- But|seriously|folks 02:15, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Lowerclap.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lowerclap.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already.
[edit] License tagging for Image:Newhackneycentral.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Newhackneycentral.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Nosho, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 22:22, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
