Greets to all. The name's David Cincotta.

I grew up in Washington D.C., the cradle of bureaucracy and American politics, which means I'm a MASTER of the passive voice. I've been studying German, but I still have no idea what I want to do with my life.

I recently was accepted into the Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary, or RBC for short. Go me!

I've been a long-time member of Wikipedia, but until recently I've mostly been just going around and finding spelling and grammar errors, removing minor vandalism, and very occasionally adding a sentence or two. The reason? In addition to reading articles, I also make a point of reading the discussion pages, looking at the user talk pages of users who made controversial edits, looking at requests for arbitration, and basically tempering my blind acceptance with an understanding of the people who write and maintain the articles. I've been an interested onlooker in some fairly important or controversial cases. I often go to controversial articles for the sole purpose of reading the debates within the talk pages; I find it edifying and instructive.

That's all for now. Keep your teeth clean.
