[edit] Singles and Promos

I've gathered a little info about DT discography, and it seems that many of the singles listed in this page are, in fact, promotional releases. This is what I've got so far:

  • Singles (as listed at [1])
    • Another Day
    • Lie
    • The Silent Man
    • Hollow Years
    • Through Her Eyes
  • Promos (as listed at [2])
    • Status Seeker
    • Afterlife
    • Pull Me Under (also a single)
    • Take the Time
    • Surrounded
    • Caught in a Web
    • Burning My Soul
    • You Not Me
    • Home
    • As I Am

Can someone help to clear this up? Hetcenus 18:52, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Systematic chaos

The artwork is so wrong... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.82.42.226 (talk) 10:45, 24 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Images

Can someone explain to me how having images there violates the free-use policy? I'm fairly new to Wikipedia and I don't get it, they seemed perfectly relevant to illustrate the point of the discography to me. Adamravenscroft 17:46, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Copyrighted images have to meet several criteria in order to be used under so-called "fair use". Criterion #8 specifically states that the images may not be used in lists or galleries, and this criterion is the one which justifies the removal of these images from lists of TV episodes, discographies, and other similar "list of" type of articles. [edit] Format

I reckon this sort of list needs a different format, since its quite hard to gather information as it stands, all in a single column. I think it needs to be similar to the Megadeth discography: XJDenton 16:38, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

This format looked good when we used to have the album covers in the first column of the table. I think I have posted some time ago a discography template on the band's talk page; it might be interesting to use that. What do you people think? Hetcenus (Talk) 00:25, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm not to keen on the design of the Megadeth discography, grids aren't particularly easy on the eye, IMO. I do quite like that template one though, it's essentially a clean up of the current format. Adamravenscroft 10:16, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I've started to write it in the new format at User:Hetcenus/Dream Theater discography. I think it's better to finish it there and then copy-paste it here, if it turns out better. Take a look, everyone, and tell me what you think. Hetcenus (Talk) 00:17, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
I think it's good, better than what we've got currently. Adamravenscroft 09:18, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Developed the page a little more. Come on, people! That page is a wiki too!! ;) Hetcenus (Talk) 03:11, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Added live and video releases, official bootlegs and fan club CDs, I think I'm done. Opinions? Hetcenus (Talk) 21:22, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
That's brilliant, change this page to that. Adamravenscroft 13:38, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Newer Information?

Does anyone have newer sales information for the albums? Especially Systematic Chaos? It seems that 90,000 number has been up for a while, and it's likely higher by a decent number by now. 142.68.197.58 02:51, 22 October 2007 (UTC) Also, for SC, are the different editions counted seperately or together? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.197.58 (talk) 20:11, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fan club DVDs

The bottom information on Fan club DVDs is out of source. Of course it needs explanation for those who doesn't know from what club they are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.69.172.49 (talk) 03:22, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Aprt from these two, I only know the norwegian dvd and the "A road to Wembley" project... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.44.218.76 (talk) 11:35, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DVD Sales Info?

I think having DVD sales info would be a good idea. Several of their live DVDs have gone platinum in the United States. 142.68.197.58 17:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Live at Marqee is a Live EP

According to the official site here Live at the Marqee is a Live EP. I will change the article to match. But I still think it should be left under the Live Albums catagory.Blackngold29 (talk) 16:54, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New version

I've updated a WIP version of this page with the new info and reference tags, available at User:Hetcenus/Dream Theater discography. People, tell me what you think, and if it's good enough, I'll replace the page tomorrow. Hetcenus (Talk) 22:52, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
