Andrew Jacob "Drew" Curtis [1] was a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, portrayed since mid-2006 by actor Bobby Morley. Drew left the show on March 21, 2008.

[edit] Drew & Belle
Drew began dating Belle Taylor (Jessica Tovey), who was also a rebellious teenager, but this fell apart when Drew began a clandestine affair with Belle's mother, Amanda Baker (Holly Brisley).
Peter eventually turned up alive, but Drew still wanted nothing to do with him and opted to stay with Dan and Leah. Drew and Peter have begun to get closer, despite the fact that Peter is now dating Amanda.
Drew is still in love with Belle Taylor, even though they are step brother and sister after their parents married. After a his break-up with Belle, Drew dated a girl called Lisa whom he eventually dumped in favour of Belle. Recently Drew and Belle split again due to their separate loyalties. After a few ups and downs with Amanda, Peter decided to leave the bay and move to the city to be with Amanda, but this took a toll on Drew's grades. After Drew's estranged friend Jules showed up he put further strain on his relationship with Belle, by acting like an idiot he managed to inadvertently push Drew away from his friends. At his 18th birthday party he got back together with Belle but they immediately got into a fight when she caught him making out with another girl and when Dan showed up he got punished which he resented now that he is an adult. Shortly after his 18th birthday Belle steals his assignment causing Drew to fail English, as a result, he had quit school.
After a few more misunderstanding with Belle the two go back together. After he stole another motorbike Jules was kicked out of Dan's house and supposedly left the bay. He was found squatting in Amanda's empty house a few days later. With Amanda's mansion empty Drew and Jules decided to bask in the comfort only to be discovered by Colleen and to have Drew's estranged mother "Jazz" show up with a Lawyer. After Jazz tried in vain to bond with Drew she threatened Jules, by saying she will tell Drew that he once tried to seduce her and in exchange for her silence he leaves town for a few months. When Jules did not comply Jazz told Cassie who told Drew and Jules and Drew got into a fight before Jules left town. After this Drew spent a lot of time complaining to Belle who eventually got tired of his double standards but the two quickly made up. After Jazz defended Drew in an argument the two grew closer. After Drew saw his dream car and Jazz refused to buy it for him he forged a $8000 cheque from her account. After finding out what he done Jazz blackmailed Drew into living with her, afterwards Jazz gave Drew 2 concert tickets as a gift, Drew decided to take Belle but traded the tickets for a discount car part. After Jazz was able to help his relationship with Belle he started to warm up to her, but he doesn't realise that he is the sole inheritor of his late maternal grandmother's $1000000 estate and that Jazz may be scheming to rip him off. After quitting school he started to work at the same garage as Ric and was eventually offered a full time apprenticeship.

After hanging out with Dom for a bit Drew began to get sucked into the dangerous street racing scene. After being challenged to a race by another kid Drew refused to race, but after Denni (Lisa's new boyfriend) threatened Belle's safety Drew raced him. Drew won the race but Denni claimed that the race didn't count due to a mechanical failure and demanded a rematch. After Drew refused to race him again Denni chased him, Ric and Lucas in a car and Denni eventually crashed his car off the road. Denni and Lisa were rushed to hospital where Lisa died shortly afterwards and after some evidence was gathered Denni was arrested. Lucas was devastated, because he had started to develop feelings for Lisa. To cover up his own crime Drew hid his car in an attempt to replace the stolen parts before his deposition but the police found out and considered prosecuting him however when some new evidence came through Drew was able to be cleared of all charges but Dom interfered by burning Drew's car and destroying the evidence. When things seemed grim Belle was able to persuade Dom to confess to the illegal dealings by kissing him. Drew was subsequently sacked from the garage.

After Jazz found out her mother died she and Drew read the will and found out that the $1000000 inheritance was left entirely to Drew. When Jazz told Drew that her mother was so nasty to her Drew felt sympathy for her and decided to split the inheritance 50/50, however when Morag (who was initially suspicious of Jazz) read the will she found a loophole which exposed Jazz's lies, that all she ever wanted was the money. When Jazz tried to justify her actions Drew didn't want to hear it and decided to keep the inheritance all for himself and turned his back on his mother forever. After Drew rejected Jazz she decided to sue him to gain the inheritance. During the mediation Jazz brought in a man who stated that Drew's grandmother was unstable at the time of writing the will, things seemed grim for Drew but Morag discovered that the man was sleeping with Jazz and was lying about his grandmother condition, with this new info Drew secured his inheritance but had an ugly argument with Jazz that resulted in her slapping him. Afterwards Jazz got back together with Tony Holden and decided to hang around longer, eager to get rid of her Drew cut the wires in Jazz's fusebox as a practical joke but this went horribly wrong when the Penthouse burned down with a sleeping Jazz inside however she was rescued by Tony. After the penthouse was destroyed the police investigated but Drew came forward and decided to repair the penthouse with the inheritance and give the remaining money to Jazz in exchange that she stay out of Drew's life for good, she subsequently left the bay for the city. Afterwards he got a job as a barman at the Surf Club.
[edit] Dom's Return
After Belle finished her HSC exams, Drew bought her a car and they took a roadtrip which they had been planning for months but things turned disastrous when Belle got a job offer, and had to start in the next few days. She accepted the job, which upset Drew; they got into an argument and headed back for the Bay. Taking a break from driving, while Belle was in the service station's ladies', she was kidnapped by Dom who had been released from prison, & he took her to his farmhouse in the country and tried to court her but was unsuccessful.
After Drew eventually found out where they were, via Dom's uncle Ray, Drew rescued Belle and tried to escape but Dom chased them and in the confusion Drew accidentally hit Dom with the car. He drove off but quickly returned only to see that Dom had vanished, Drew and Belle then returned to the bay unsure if Dom was even alive. During a heated argument Belle revealed to Drew that she kissed Dom in order to get him off the hook for the stolen car part case a few months back and she also confessed to kissing Dom again in the hope that he would release her if she felt nothing. Drew was initially upset but realised Belle did it out of love and the two reconciled.

Afterwards Drew sold alcohol to a minor so he could make some extra cash. When Matilda confronted him at the Surf Club the following day, he regretted it and told her to keep her voice down, however Tony overheard their conversation. Drew then told the truth but got sacked, luckily for Drew, however, Tony Holden did not contact the police.
Afterwards Drew applied for a few other jobs but was immediately rejected resulting in him feeling despondent which prompted Leah to give him advice to take initiative so that he could move on with his life. After realising that things would only get harder from here on Drew decided to re-enroll into Summer Bay High in 2008 and finish his HSC.
[edit] Love Triangle
In the 2007 finale Dom returned and asked Belle for help. He told her he needed medical attention because the car impact he endured a few weeks prior had gotten worse. Drew was reluctant to help and insisted that they didn't owe Dom anything but Dom threatened to tell the police about the car injury however Belle retaliated by saying she would tell the authorities he abducted her but Dom stated that she didn't have any proof. A furious Drew confronted a recovering Dom at the hospital and grabbed him at the collar which resulted in Dom being rushed to the emergency room as Dom was being wheeled out Belle blurted out that she loved him. Afterwards Drew asked her why she said it she replied with "he needed something to help him pull through" and that she didn't genuinely mean it but Drew remained unconvinced.
Dom caused more trouble for Belle and Drew in 2008 when he started working at the diner, although Irene exposed his true motives and got rid of him. Dom eventually messed up and left the bay.
[edit] Dan's Death And Aftermath
Shortly afterwards, Drew's uncle Dan died while he was in the USA, he died in an abseiling accident. Drew and Leah were devastated and broke down, however Jazz and Amanda returned to the bay to support him and Leah through the tragedy. During Dans memorial at the Surf Club Belle choose to work instead of attending it with Drew, this upset him.
Their relationship was put under further strain when Belle repeatedly put her career before her ethics. When Belle was put in charge of writing an article about Sally she submitted it for publishing which was re-written entirely by Gavin. This enraged Drew and he got into a heated argument with Belle blaming her for Sally misfortune, subsequently he nearly assaulted Gavin and hastily decided to quit school again.
Later that day Belle went to see him about trying to resign her without her permission, this sparked a massive argument which brought up all the pain they caused each other over the past two years and they broke up for good. Drew left the bay afterwards as he needed some time to clear his head. He later returned to the bay to confront Belle. They talked about their problems and apologised, despite what they said they parted amicably. Drew then decided to move to the city with Peter and Amanda so he could finish his HSC.
