Dreams of Stabbing and/or Being Stabbed are the first demos by New Jersey rock band My Chemical Romance recorded. The demos are old versions of songs that would later appear on My Chemical Romance's debut studio album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. The band recorded the songs in the winter of 2001. The band has stated "Our Lady of Sorrows" and "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" as two of the most important early My Chemical Romance songs. "Headfirst for Halos" was another one of those songs but wasn't written until the recording of I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. There were two versions of the disc released, the second version featuring a "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" demo.
Despite the recording process taking place before Mikey Way joined the band, bass guitar can clearly be heard on a few of the tracks - most notably at the beginning of "Cubicles".
