Dreams Take Flight
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dreams Take Flight program was created by Air Canada to fly children with special needs to Disney World for a day and has been in operation since 1989.
During this time Air Canada has sponsored trips for over 14,000 children from Canada and Northern US to to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.
The program organizes the combined efforts of numerous service clubs, sports and entertainment figures, organizations and sponsors to provide a unique experience for children that may have otherwise never had such an opportunity.
The trips also allow children to interact with popular youth celebrities who accompany them on the flights while details are covered on various television and radio broadcasts throughout the day.
