Dreaming My Dreams is an album, released by Waylon Jennings on RCA Victor in 1975. The first of several of his number one records, it was released to great critical acclaim and considerable commercial success. A number of the songs on the album were tributes to Jennings' heroes, including Hank Williams and Bob Wills. Four singles were released successfully; "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" and a live version of "Bob Wills is Still the King" reached #1, "Let's Help All the Cowboys (Sing the Blues)" reached #2 and "Dreaming My Dreams with You" peaked at #10. "Bob Wills is Still the King", one of the most well-known cuts from the recorded, had been recorded at the Austin Opry House in 1974, in front of a lively audience. The album's original short liner notes, discussing how the human voice is the only instrument that manages to give a glimpse of the singer's soul, were written by Neil Diamond. Dreaming My Dreams was reissued in 2001 on Buddha Records, with two bonus tracks.
